About
Terra Sancta's Mysterious Diggings Blanc de Noir is made from 100% Pinot Noir (Abel clone), destemmed and pressed immediately with no time on skins, so it pours as a white wine. Fermented natively in tank with no oak. The nose shows passionfruit, mango, apricot, fresh peach and white flowers, with crunchy apple, lemon peel and green tea. The palate carries tropical fruit, nectarine, quince and apricot kernel, with kaffir lime and a lingering minerality. Bright acidity, dry and crisp on the finish. Bottled 16 September 2024.
Producer note
Terra Sancta is a Pinot Noir specialist on Felton Road in Bannockburn, Central Otago, with roughly 80% of its vineyard planted to the variety — including the fruit used here, simply handled without skin contact.
