Fresh raspberry and rose hip character over a light, dry frame — Wine Enthusiast calls it a refreshing, vibrant rosé that's easy to drink once well chilled. It's estate-grown on 18-year-old vines on sandy, loamy and chalky soil, hand-harvested in early September, spontaneously fermented, and aged eight months on the lees in stainless steel with no oak.
Producer note
Gerhard Pittnauer took over the family vineyard in Gols in the mid-1980s at 18, after his father's death, and taught himself winemaking from there — later moving the estate to biodynamic farming and doing every step, from composting to pruning, by hand alongside his wife Brigitte.
