Cool-climate Mornington fruit. Cherry, red berries, soft tannin. Nicely judged.
Ten Minutes by Tractor started in 1997 with three family vineyards at Main Ridge. Each sat ten minutes from the next by tractor, and the name stuck. Martin and Karen Spedding have since grown the estate to seven vineyards across the Mornington Peninsula.
10X is the winery's regional range, drawing fruit from several of those vineyards. The aim is the peninsula as a whole, not the voice of a single site.
Drink it young. Give it a light chill on a warm evening and pour it beside roast chicken, duck or a charcuterie board.
