About

100% Pinot Noir from Stefano Lubiana's certified biodynamic estate vineyards in the Derwent Valley, Tasmania. Mostly wild-fermented from hand-picked, hand-sorted fruit with some whole bunches, basket-pressed after about three weeks and matured in older oak. Light-bodied, with strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit up front, gentle spice and soft, velvety tannins running through a fresh, juicy palate.

Producer note

Made annually since 1993, the 2024 release is the estate's 31st vintage of Primavera Pinot Noir. Stefano Lubiana farms its Derwent Valley vineyards biodynamically.

Pinot Noir from high-elevation Adelaide Hills vineyards across Monomeith, Uraidla, Piccadilly, Summertown, Little Creek, Basket Range, Scary Gully and Charleston — loamy clay over sandstone strewn with schist and quartz, vines 5 to 37 years old. Hand-picked organic fruit, three weeks in open fermenters at 80% destemmed with a whole-cluster inclusion, then eight months in French oak (15% new) and bottled unfined and unfiltered with just a splash of SO2. Bright red cherries and raspberries with a whisper of herbs and forest-floor earthiness over a core of dark cherry and spice — light, elegant, juicy drinking with soft tannins.

Bright, fruit-driven and floral: vibrant red berries and lifted perfume over fine tannins and subtle savoury complexity, fresh and energetic with impressive natural structure.
