About

62% Marsanne, 38% Roussanne from vines planted in 2013 in Yarra Yering's Crécy Block. Whole-bunch pressed and wild fermented in seasoned oak, drawing on winemaker Sarah Crowe's time in Saint-Péray in France's northern Rhône. The Marsanne brings lemon verbena brightness and drive; the Roussanne adds beeswax generosity and a savoury edge — a textural, layered white with real presence.

Producer note

Warramate is Yarra Yering's second label, made by the same winemaker, Sarah Crowe, who modelled this blend on the northern Rhône's Saint-Péray appellation after working a vintage there in 2008.

Murnang di Renzo is a white blend from Renzaglia Wines' di Renzo range, made by third-generation winemaker Sam Renzaglia at the family's Bathurst vineyard from fruit purchased across the Central Ranges — predominantly Vermentino grown at First Ridge Wines in Mudgee, with a smaller portion of Sauvignon Blanc from a Riverlee-grown block near Orange. Part of the Vermentino is fermented on skins in concrete for texture before blending, and the finished wine is unfined and unfiltered. Aromatic and textural, with layers of white nectarine and honeydew melon, a savoury white-pepper spice note, and a persistent, saline-edged acidity.
