Mezzo sources this Pinot Grigio from Wrattonbully, a cool sub-region of South Australia's Limestone Coast. The fruit is picked at night, pressed gently and cold settled, then fermented in stainless steel. The wine rests on fine lees for four months, which builds a little texture without any oak.
In the glass it runs to fresh pear, apple blossom and a hint of lemon zest, crisp and clean through the finish. Serve it well chilled and drink it young. It suits seafood, antipasto or a creamy pasta as easily as a glass on its own after work.
