The Best Lot makes a single wine, every vintage: Malbec, sourced from whichever parcels across South Australia the winemaker judges the strongest that year, regardless of region. Malbec is notoriously inconsistent to grow, so the exact vineyards behind the blend can shift year to year rather than coming from one fixed site. This release is made in small hand-crafted quantities with minimal sulphite additions.

The Best Lot is a single-variety label — Malbec is the only wine it makes. Rather than sourcing from one vineyard, the winemaker selects and blends the strongest available Malbec parcels from across South Australia each vintage, made in tiny quantities.
