About
Power with lift — Barossa floor for richness, Eden Valley for freshness. Mid-premium Barossa Shiraz.
Eden Valley fruit for this blend comes off vineyards sitting 400 to 500 metres up. Nights run cooler there, and grapes ripen a week or two later than on the valley floor. That altitude keeps acid in the fruit. The Barossa Valley parcels sit lower, around 200 to 300 metres, in warmer ground that pushes ripeness and adds weight.
Each vineyard is fermented separately in open-top vessels, then basket-pressed. Torbreck matures the blend around 18 months in a mix of seasoned and new French oak barriques. It's bottled unfined and unfiltered, so nothing is stripped out before it reaches the glass.
Give it an hour in the decanter if you're drinking it now. The tannin is real, built to hold, and it wants a plate of something substantial. Steak or lamb off the grill is the natural match.
