About

Deep red Hunter Valley shiraz with upfront raspberry coulis, satsuma plum and dark cherry, joined by cherries and mulberries over dried spice and toasty oak. Spice, cacao, mocha and anise carry through a soft, plush palate with velvety tannins, oak kept to a supporting role so the fruit stays centre stage. Drinking window to 2032.

Estate Shiraz from the Kenton Valley vineyard, planted in 1998 with cuttings taken from now ninety-year-old vines at Springton, drawing on three separate parcels for complexity. Matured eighteen months in a mix of older French oak hogsheads. Vibrant ripe blackberries, plums and blueberries layered with warming spice, dark chocolate, nutmeg and coffee, finishing with a subtle, refreshing lift of acidity. Light-to-medium-bodied for Shiraz — drink now or cellar up to ten years.

Scarlet Runner is the Bosworth family's mid-weight McLaren Vale Shiraz, now in its 15th vintage. The 2022 fruit was picked flavour- and sugar-ripe, fermented in open vessels, then matured for around nine months in older oak barrels — mostly older French oak with a small amount of American oak and only around 10% new oak, so the wood sits quietly rather than dominating. It shows red plums and blackberries on the nose with a hint of dark chocolate and liquorice, following through onto a palate of lovely supple tannins and a long, satisfying finish.

Kaesler

Shiraz from Kaesler estate vines between 35 and 47 years old, fermented for a week and then rested mostly in older French oak so the fruit leads. Vibrant fruits of the forest and cassis on the nose with hints of spice box, then a supple, elegant palate of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry threaded with redcurrant and raspberry over soft, silken tannins. Drink now or hold four to five years.
