Unaged 100% Blue Weber agave. Pure cooked-agave character, citrus zest, white pepper, mineral edge. Blanco shows the agave at its most direct — no oak to hide behind. Pour neat or in a top-shelf margarita.
Madre made its name with mezcal in the hills of Oaxaca. This tequila applies the same idea to Jalisco: keep the agave in front and add nothing else. That additive-free stance matters in a category where flavouring and sweetening are legal and common.
The agave comes from a single estate high in the Jalisco mountains, around 2,300 metres up, among the highest plantings in the state. The piñas roast in clay brick ovens, and the stills run on mineral-rich well water drawn from deep underground. Agave ripens slowly at that altitude, which builds the sweetness and depth the highlands are known for.
Pour it neat over one large ice cube, or shake it into a margarita with fresh lime.
