About
Pinot Noir from Marsannay, the northernmost village of the Côte de Nuits, off parcels where most vines are fifty years or older. Fruit is hand-picked and hand-sorted, fully destemmed, cold-soaked for a week and fermented on indigenous yeasts, then bottled without filtration. The house style is ripe but structured — plum, cherry and pomegranate over spice, with tannins built to carry it for years. Serious village Burgundy from an address that still trades under the radar.
Producer note
Philippe Collotte bottled the family's first wine under its own name in 1981 at sixteen, after four generations of Collottes had grown grapes in Marsannay. Daughter Isabelle joined in 2013, and the domaine now farms 17 hectares across Marsannay, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, avoiding chemical herbicides and fermenting only on indigenous yeasts.
