The cocktail-grade Del Maguey — the gateway mezcal that bartenders trust.

Del Maguey are the producer who put traditional single-village mezcal on the global map. 'Vida' is their cocktail-grade expression — Espadín from San Luis del Río, smoky but balanced, built for serious bartending. The mezcal you'll find behind every good cocktail bar.
Vida is made at Don Paciano's family palenque beside the river in San Luis del Río. The agave hearts roast underground for three to eight days over local wood, which is where the smoke comes from.
A horse-drawn stone tahona crushes the roasted agave. The juice ferments naturally, then passes twice through small wood-fired copper stills. It is bottled at 42 per cent, a strength that stands up in a drink without punishing you.
Make it your margarita upgrade, swap it into any tequila cocktail, or pour it neat. There is enough citrus and mineral under the smoke to reward slow sipping. One bottle covers the whole spectrum, which is exactly why bartenders keep it close.
Producer note
Del Maguey ('of the maguey') was founded by artist Ron Cooper in 1995 and is widely credited with introducing single-village traditional mezcal to international markets.
