Fermented in steel with 14% whole bunches and aged in an old French oak vat, it shows rose petal, dried cranberry and sour cherry over cinnamon and musk, with the site's characteristic sandy, dusty tannin.

Pinot Noir off five blocks — Vertex, Ironstone, Chicory, Kilnside and Basalt — across 6.7 organically farmed hectares planted at over 11,000 vines per hectare, four times the Mornington norm, with yields held to 300-500 grams a vine. Fruit is chilled and destemmed with a small whole-bunch portion, wild-fermented in concrete with 25-30 days on skins, then aged eleven months in new and older French barriques. Dark cherry, strawberry, violet and anise lead into cedar, rhubarb and forest floor over velvet-smooth tannins.
