About
Generous, fruity, easy. Don't overthink it — for Tuesday-night chicken pasta and weekend lunches.
Finca Las Moras started in 1993 in Argentina's San Juan province, with vineyards about 20 kilometres from San Juan city. The name means 'the mulberries', after the mulberry trees that surround the vines. The estate is now one of the biggest producers in the province, part of the Peñaflor wine group.
Chardonnay is one of its main white grapes, alongside Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc. In 2013 the winery was named Argentina's wine producer of the year.
Serve this one well chilled and do not sit on it. It is bottled to drink young, while the fruit is at its brightest, and it earns its keep as the fridge-door white.
