About
Boutinot builds this from the top down: fruit from named Côtes du Rhône Villages growers, enriched with parcels from the well-regarded villages of Séguret and Sablet. It is 80% Grenache Noir and 20% Syrah, fermented mostly in stainless steel, with a small portion aged up to 20 months in older French oak for depth. Brambly dark fruit and crunchy wild berry are underpinned by warm star anise and a touch of cinnamon — medium-bodied, smooth and beautifully spiced, with the oak kept firmly in the background.
Producer note
Boutinot's stated philosophy is to make the best Côtes du Rhône Villages possible, sourcing from growers with exceptional terroir and reserving the right to reject parcels that fall short in any year.
